Compliance with the new is quickly approaching. As of February 7, 2020, the education requirements will change for an individual who wants to:.
Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL);. Upgrade a CDL; or. Obtain a passenger, school bus or hazmat endorsement.Also changing — the requirements for those who instruct these individuals.Gone will be the days of obtaining a learner’s permit, driving with a CDL holder for as little as a few hours, and then taking the CDL road test. The process will become more detailed and will take more time than before.Under the new requirements, an entry-level driver must, prior to taking the CDL test, successfully complete a prescribed program of theory and behind-the-wheel instruction provided by a school or other entity listed on FMCSA’s Training Provider Registry (TPR).Is your entry-level truck driver training program ready for the new FMCSA requirements? The rule prescribes specific topics for each of the five areas of instruction (Basic Operation, Safe Operating Procedures, Advanced Operating Practices, Vehicle Systems and Reporting Malfunctions, and Non-Driving Activities). The instructor must cover all the topics listed within each area of instruction.
An assessment is then used to determine the driver-trainee’s proficiency. Driver-trainees must achieve an overall minimum score of 80% on the theory assessment.The 30 topics that must be covered in the Theory Instruction are. Both range and over-the-road instruction are required. The proficient completion of the behind-the-wheel training is based solely on the instructor’s professional assessment of each driver-trainee’s performance of the required elements of behind-the-wheel training on the range and on public roads.
The training must be completed in a vehicle of the same group or type that the driver-trainee intends to use for the CDL skills test.Range training topics include,. Over-the-road training topics include turns, lane changes, shifting, and visual search. In order to provide entry-level driver training, a training provider must be listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA’s) Training Provider Registry (TPR).
To be eligible for listing on the TPR, the training provider must follow curriculum, instructor, and facility requirements as outlined by FMCSA. It is expected that the TPR will be available in late 2019.Theory and behind-the-wheel instructors must hold an appropriate class of Commercial Driver’s License (including appropriate endorsement(s)) and have at least two years of experience as a driver and/or instructor. These individuals must also meet all applicable state qualification requirements for commercial motor vehicle instructors.

I just finished the course and wanted to give anyone interested a bit of a summary. I was PM'd a few questions, and figured I would share.I will give you a quick background on myself so you can get an idea of where my opinions come from.
I released from active duty back in November of 2014 and immediately began a second bachelor's program in Computer Science. I was super excited for this course because I needed an entry level refresher on Java programming anyways.
I hadn't taken an intro programming course in almost 9 years. So the way I figured, even if I didn't get hired, I was getting a free course that I honestly wanted to take anyways.The Java course is amazing. I learned more in the 5 weeks it took me to complete than in any of my previous CS courses. The instruction is great and the problems and project were challenging enough for me. Not impossible, but just challenging enough for me to really think critically and learn. So definitely 10/10 would recommend as far as the course goes! I liked it so much that I enrolled in Udacity's Data Analyst Nanodegree and started that last week.Now as far as the Accenture hiring is concerned I was mislead a bit, and some of that might be contributed to my own ignorance.
Entry Level Certification Programs
The way it was described to me when I was accepted is that once you complete the Udacity course, you are guaranteed an interview. Once I completed the course, I emailed my recruiter. He got back to me and unfortunately they are not currently hiring at the El Segundo office near my current location. He did say that they are hiring at the Austin, TX and Sacramento, CA offices currently. King james bible tagalog for pc.
Accenture Entry Level Training Program Review Unit
If I wasn't 7 months away from finishing my degree program I might consider relocating. He did say that hiring is constantly changing throughout Accenture.
They could start hiring at El Segundo next week, or next month, or next year. He said it is really hard to say, and given the fact that the new fiscal year is about to start its an awkward time for hiring within most all companies.According to my recruiter, once you finish the Udacity course, you are marked complete in Accenture's hiring system. So, the next time they start hiring at the El Segundo office I should get a call.
I am certainly not relying on this single opportunity, but hopefully I will get a call for an interview by the end of the year. I am not in a huge rush to jump into a full time position as I am a full time student right now.So I hope this gives a bit more incite into the program and hiring process than I had when I first started back in July. If you are willing to relocate, you shouldn't have any problems hiring on after competing.
I got out of the military in order to settle in one place, so relocating isn't particularly ideal for me.If you have any more questions, please feel to reach out.
