Ilo Does Not Boot From Virtual Media Iso File
Seeing the same problem that i came across with the RC0 releasestill unable to perform a complete install using the DRAC5 virtual media feature and the ISO file for the installation source1. The system will boot correctly from the virtual media2. The install will get part way into the process, but will eventually throw an error in a 'Load Driver' pop-up window'No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers and then click OK.' If i close that pop-up, i end up at a 'Select the driver to be installed window'.if i select the 'Browse' option, i can see that the install media is mounted and assigned a drive letter.
The media is browsable, but apparently the installer is looking for something its not finding.?????4. Using physical media from a USB attached drive will work correctly, so it seems to be an issue specific to running the install from the DRAC5. Havent had problems running installs for other OS,etc from the same DRAC cardHardware is a Dell 2950 (bios 2.0.1), internal storage is available on the Dell SAS 5 controller (firmware 6.12.05), and SAN is available on a qlogic qla2462 (firmware 1.24), DRAC5 (firmware 1.32).
Virtual Media tends to work decently on the LO100i devices like the one in your system. Are you licensed properly under the Application License Key Menu?Otherwise, when you press 'Connect', you should see the file path of your.ISO image change to a URL containing the IP of your client computer and connection type (e.g. /192.168.10.55, 0, USB 2.0).
If it does not do this, the.ISO will still look like it's connected, but it really isn't. When you press connect, does the IP of your client machine show up in the Virtual Media window?HP requires that between the client system and the LO100i. Due to those port requirements, you may have to run the browser from an Administrator account on your PC or client system. You may also need to Connect/Disconnect several times until the IP string shows up properly like in the image below.
